Daily Recap:
A beautiful afternoon walk at the Town Forest brought 39 species, along with a new addition to the month list—Cedar Waxwing, bringing the total to 97 species so far in May.
There was also a high count of Yellow Warblers, with seven individuals! The pair near the end of the trail is still holding strong, while five others were actively singing around the powerline cut.
Not much else to report today, but I’m feeling grateful for the warm, sunny weather—and I’m hoping it sticks around for the rest of the month.
