Daily Recap:
A quieter day than usual for a sunny morning at the Seabrook Town Forest. I suspect the fallout warblers from earlier in the week finally took advantage of the clear skies overnight and moved on.
I was greeted by two Eastern Kingbirds at the pond. I had one a few days ago, but only heard it by ear. Today, the pair was flying over the water, calling, and offering great views.
Still a solid day with 10 warbler species, though no new additions to the list. A new high count of five Blue-winged Warblers was another highlight. They’re not especially abundant in New Hampshire, so seeing that many at once was a pleasant surprise.
The Gray Catbird numbers remain high, with 12 individuals scattered all along the trail.
I ended the day with 50 species after a warm and peaceful walk through the forest. With more rain on the way this weekend, I’ll gladly take today’s calm and sunshine.

wow, 138/140! which ones are you missing?
